COVID 19
What to expect at your massage
Firstly, I would just like to say a massive thank you for your continued support to myself and Kalm and hope that you and your families have been staying safe during these unprecedented times.
This update is to explain how I will be working for the foreseeable future. Kalm was shut during lockdown, but I opened on 9th June for physiotherapy, and am now open for massage from 20th July.
As I’m sure you can understand, there will be some changes in how your appointment will proceed in order to continue to prevent the spread of infection.
Firstly, if you are experiencing any Covid‐19 symptoms, please postpone or cancel your appointment. Please be aware that I may also have to cancel your treatment should I experience any symptoms of coronavirus (high temperature, continuous cough or a loss/change in sense of taste or smell.).
We will need to complete a short telephone consultation prior to your appointment, to discuss your needs and any Covid‐19 issues. Please note I am not currently seeing anyone for massage treatment who is shielding and am only able to offer treatments for up to 60 minutes. Reluctantly, due to the need for PPE and increased time for cleaning, all massage treatments are subject to a £5 increase in price.
For each appointment, I will be doing the following:
-
Check my temperature at the beginning of every working day.
-
Wash my hands before and after treatment.
-
Wearing full PPE – this includes apron, visor, mask and gloves.
-
Thoroughly disinfect the room & all linen replaced for each client (washed at 60 degrees C).
-
Ventilate the treatment room.
-
Maintain social distancing before and after the treatment.
-
Strictly avoid any facial massage.
-
Providing couch roll for you to step on.
I ask that you do the following:
-
Bring your own bottle of water if you require refreshment.
-
Complete the COVID 19 consent form and bring to your appointment (this can be emailed/posted once a booking has been made)
-
Arrive at the agreed time and ensure social distancing before and after the treatment.
-
Use hand sanitiser upon arrival and exit.
-
Wear a facemask throughout your appointment.
-
Pay by card or other cashless method, where possible.
If you have any concerns or questions on the above then please do not hesitate to contact me.
